One of the world's most highly renowned film studios, Warner Brothers Studios Leavesden's state-of-the art facility has been home to some of the biggest movies of all time. With their brand communications struggling to keep pace with their global success, WBSL commissioned our talented friends at Blast to develop their new positioning, identity and website. In need of some big screen thinking for the words, they invited us to join the crew.
We developed a confident voice to match the studios’ bold new positioning, and crafted an overarching brand strapline, 'Built by filmmakers, for filmmakers', which highlights the facility’s purpose-built nature while giving supreme reassurance to potential clients. Meanwhile, we created a supporting cast of straplines to capture the essence of each of WBSL’s key functions, reflecting the studios' global status as the place 'Where great films happen'.
With the new tone of voice in place, we then reframed WBSL's story and rewrote their website. With a mix of bold headline messaging and straightforward informational copy, the website brings together Blast's sleek design and branding, plus in-studio imagery and incredible footage from global blockbusters. It’s a powerful portal into the world of WBSL, and an emotive sales tool that captures the studios’ peerless creative magic.
It's the movies, so of course there's a sequel. We were pleased to be invited back for more projects with WBSL, including developing the tone of voice and messaging for De Lane Lea, their renowned sound production facility. And we also stepped up to help craft the messaging for WBSL's ongoing sustainability initiative, 'The Big Picture'.
